The family time is fixed. Everything else can flex with weather, energy, and what sounds fun—including making sure John gets to relax and enjoy the trip, too.

Gather the crew + see Eric

Leave at 8:00 a.m., pick up Claire in Middleton at 8:30, and have lunch at Norske Nook in Osseo. Invite Lars to visit Eric, see the new boat, and tour Stillwater before delivery dinner at Grandma Barb’s.

Baker + the bins

John, Jess, Eric, and Spencer play Baker National. Eric books as early as possible and targets an early-morning tee time. Claire, Barb, and Lars explore the Chaska Goodwill Outlet, with Barb driving.

Head north + Sammy’s

Breakfast with Grandma Barb, depart by 10:00 a.m., settle in with Grandma Ann, and order Sammy’s Pizza for an easy family dinner.

Golf day

John, Jess, and Claire play 18 holes at Pike Lake Country Club. A flexible Duluth stop is optional before the final dinner with Grandma Ann.

Hermantown → Blue Mounds

Make tracks south

Wake up. Load the car. Drive like hell back to southern Wisconsin. Drop Claire in Middleton, then John and Jess continue to Blue Mounds.
